This coverage authorizes use of our toll-free emergency number for transportation of hazardous materials. The number may be used as the emergency response telephone number on hazardous materials shipping papers required by the U.S. Department of Transportation. The telephone number may also be posted on cargo tank motor vehicles as an emergency contact number for accidents, spills, leaks or vandalism. Reusable, laminated shipping papers are available to PERS customers who are private carriers.
This coverage authorizes use of our toll-free emergency number for hazardous materials storage facilities. The emergency number may be referenced as the 24-hour emergency contact on Tier II Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory Forms (40 CFR 370.41(b)), required by SARA Title III (Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). The emergency number may also be posted on storage tanks, gates, or at cardlock fueling sites. Special decals and aluminum signs are available for posting the number.
