PERS provides drug and alcohol testing services for motor carriers. DATA (Drug and Alcohol Testing Administration) is a third-party administrator (TPA) for controlled substances use and alcohol misuse testing. Our program helps motor carriers, subject to the USDOT drug and alcohol testing regulations (49 CFR, Part 382), combat the high cost and confusion associated with compliance.
Types of testing include: random selection, pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, post-accident, return-to-duty, and follow-up. We provide confidential random selection and notification services, medical review officer (MRO) services, and company policy development. Confidential drug and alcohol records are maintained at PERS, which meet the Federal record-keeping requirements.
